Lost in New York & Found a Wedding

Meeting Jamie and Heidi was a treat for the ages. This couple from England reached out to me about shooting their Central Park wedding. I couldnt jump at the opportunity any faster. Central Park is one of my favorite locations in all of New York City. Central Park is one of the locations I love to shoot and is the ultimate reminder of how amazing it is to be a New York City Photographer. It has been the backdrop to some of the most famous movies, as well as one of the grooms favorite- Home Alone 2 Lost in New York.

I met Jamie with his best man Johnny at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York Times Square West. He informed me that Heidi was going through the jitters and would rather do photos at the ceremony. So myself and Jamie and Johnny went upstairs to the High Bar and did our getting ready. Jamie took in the sights and got ready. Hit even a Ric Flair strut with the NYC skyline in the background.

After that we went to take a stroll around the city and had a pint and just waited for show time. The vibes were as great as the day beer. Jamie received a text that it was time for the uber to Central Park. There I met Heidi and her maid of honor. I rode with Heidi and informed that everything was ok and going to be ok.

Jamie was set up for their first look with the famous Gapstow Bride to the right and the iconic (as Home Alone 2 Location) The Plaza Hotel on the left. Heidi tapped Jamie on the shoulder and with a bright smile they went on to have their wedding on a brisk March day.

After their ceremony we did our rounds of more iconic New York City locations to complete the rest of their Bride and Groom portaits. We finished our day with a stop in Times Square where strangers greeted Heidi and Jamie with cheers and congratulations. Even New York City cant resist a beautiful couple on their wedding day.

Congratulation to the Bride and Groom and thank you for choosing Rick Rosa Photography to Photograph your day
